Residential Care Program

A twenty four (24-hour) group care services that provides alternative parental care to 0 -2 years old abandoned, neglected, orphaned, and voluntarily committed children. The children stay in the houses until permanent placement is made either reintegration to their biological family/relatives or through adoption.

Under this program about 1,850 children had been admitted and given love and care. In 1983, it was licensed by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) to process adoption and from that time 250 abandoned and voluntarily committed children were placed to their adoptive families. Around 200 among the admitted children were reintegrated to their biological families/relatives and for independent living.

INTEGRITY IN MINISTRY - PART II

A One-Day Conference sponsored by Christian Growth Ministries (CGM) and Action International Ministries (ACTION).

Date: March 23, 2009

Place: New Tribes Missionary Training Center

Conference Speaker: Rev. Tom Crouse

Devotional Speaker: Rev. Mike Lacanilao

No. of Delegates: 149

The conference started at around 8:15 in the morning with an opening prayer led by Pastor Lito de Guzman, Church Assistance Program Officer. The program started 15 minutes advance since most of the delegates came earlier than usual and the earliest delegates came all the way from the province of Quezon. Pastor Mike Lacanilao delivered the devotional message based on the book of Psalms which part of the message shared his testimony which is very fitted in the theme “Integrity in Ministry”.

Bro. Adam Hussey of ACTION International Ministries introduced the main speaker Pastor Tom Crouse where he divided his topic into four sessions: First, Integrity with our Doctrine (1 Timothy1:3-7); Second, Integrity with the order of Our Churches (1Timothy 2:8-15); Third, Integrity when Facing Opposition (1Timothy 4:11-16); and lastly, Integrity in Teaching about Giving (Philippians 4:14-23).

During the first session, Pastor Tom talked about The Effect of Good Doctrine where he emphasized 1Timothy 1:5 which is about “Love, Pure Heart, Good Conscience, and Sincere Faith”. He strongly said that the true meaning of Good Conscience is “We must think like God and not be a God” because most Christians are over spiritualizing as if they would not fall into temptation (1 Corinthians 10:12) but he also warned that they must not tolerate the habit of sinning but rather continue to be rooted and grounded in love. He also deals with the Effects of Strange Doctrine quoted in 1Timothy 1:4 these are fruitless discussions that affects the church, and those promoting want to be teachers, being arrogant in their presentation, are just some of the highlights of this session.
