The camp theme was Sino ako? (Who am I?)
Stats:
There were a total of 42 campers comprising of 38 boys and 4 girls ages 14 to 21.
There were 13 counselors and 1 camp physician (Dr. Evelyn Hipolito).
The camp guest speaker was Ptr Michael Gentiles, a former convict. He was a hired killer in his past life. He came to know JESUS and His love and purpose in his life through the prison ministry of Ptr. Lito Deguzman. Ptr. Michael’s life testimony alone was a great eye opener, encouragement and challenge to not only the campers but also to all the camp staff including the counselors and camp leaders. Ptr Michael charm and gentle spirit is a reflection of his love for GOD and His WORD.
On the second day, by the end of the third evangelistic session, the campers were given an opportunity to invite and accept JESUS into their individual lives as LORD, GOD and SAVIOR. About 90% came forward during the altar-call or invitation. Again on the third (last) day, after the last session with Ptr Michael, another altar-call/invitation was given and about 98% came forward. Praise GOD!
The campers enjoyed all the team building activities, games, and of course basketball and the swimming pool.
The camp officially ended right after lunch.
